Josh is an; NR-EMT, Pro ski patroller with Purgatory Patrol, 19 year member with La Plata County Search and Rescue, a lead instructor with Wilderness Medial Associates teaching wilderness and rescue medicine courses, and an AMGA Certified Alpine & Rock Guide & assistant ski guide.

Biography:

Josh has been instructing AIARE avalanche courses since 2006. He is the Coordinator of Programming and Permitting for the renowned Outdoor Pursuits program at Fort Lewis College as well as the founder of Kling Mountain Guides (now San JUAN expeditions). He is an American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) certified alpine & rock guide and assistant ski guide. He is an AIARE avalanche course leader as well as a lead instructor for Wilderness Medical Associates. Josh is author of the Silverton Backcountry Skiing guidebook (now on it's 3rd edition). He has been touring and playing in the San Juan Mountains around Silverton for close to 20 years.
