Course Details
Join the High Country’s favorite backcountry guide service and avalanche course provider for a standard format 3-day AIARE Level 1 Avalanche Safety Course. What is a “standard format” course? This means we utilize our Breckenridge classroom and field locations within a 30 mile driving radius. 1 full classroom day is followed by 2 full days in the field. Utilizing the AIARE Level 1 curriculum, our AIARE certified guide/instructors will teach you avalanche terrain identification, companion rescue, pit profile analysis, and more! Our classroom is located at the Breckenridge Recreation Center. You'll find our new office in the newly renovated Gravity Haus hotel where students can take advantage of special room discounts and Happy Hour deals.
Students will receive an AIARE field book, course manual, certificate of completion, discounts on future courses, and a bag of goodies from our awesome partners, including Ortovox and Mountain Outfitters.
