Course Details

Colorado Wilderness Rides And Guides, a Rocky Mountain National Park Concessionaire and permitted outfitter in Roosevelt and White River National Forest, sets the bar for professional avalanche education in and around Colorado's Front Range Mountains with professional guide educators and intimate knowledge of Colorado's mountains.

This course is an American Institute Of Avalanche Research And Education (AIARE) Level 2 Avalanche Course.

The AIARE 2 course is a 3-day program that provides backcountry leaders the opportunity to advance their avalanche knowledge and decision making skills. This course also includes the introductory and prerequisite components for the professional progression: the professional level 1 and level 2 certificate.

The AIARE 2 builds from the introductory avalanche hazard management model introduced in the level one and adds to it the evaluation of factors critical to stability evaluation. Our class format caterers to working professionals and students.
